I have several techniques including Google blog queries, Blogger and Wordpress keyword searches, links on friends' blogs, links from comments, recommendations from readers, e-mails from bloggers, blog follower links, and referrers in my blog statistics.

I love introducing new spanko bloggers to the community and vice versa.  As for favorites, there are so many.  Like snowflakes, each is unique and beautiful.

Yes, I hope you will join us for brunch.  Everyone is very pleasant and supportive.

I think MBS had been around for about four months when we held the first brunch.  During that era, I did a lot of experimentation.  I kept the features that worked and dropped those that didn't.  I guess I don't need to tell you that the brunch worked beyond my wildest expectations.

It's been five and a half years.  I never expected it to last a year.  Things don't always work out as we think they will.

I tend to be pretty open-minded about blogs, especially when it's one person using it as a platform to share their thoughts, experiences, and opinions.  I dislike blogs with photos or videos that are too sexually graphic or brutal.  I also have no use for blogs where all of the content is advertising.

I think with the tremendous growth of our community, we've fragmented somewhat into subgroups.  That's good because it's easier for readers and bloggers to find others who share their precise interests.  But it's unfortunate because there are fewer opportunities to exchange thoughts with spanking enthusiasts with different perspectives.  My hope is that our community will continue to be welcoming to newcomers and never perceived as cliquish.

We've seen a rapid increase in the number and variety of photoblogs.  Some readers love them.  Others complain when I link them.  I believe they have a place.

Another interesting development is Twitter content being incorporated into blogs.  This approach combines the immediacy of Twitter with the more versatile publishing platform of blogs.  I expect we'll see more of this.

Yes, we have a fantastic community.  I am proud of the small role I play in helping us grow and thrive.

Censorship is more than a rumor and I find that threat very concerning.  But like water finding its own level, readers and bloggers both will gravitate to platforms that are open and free.  For example, when MySpace started censoring user content, their users went elsewhere en mass.  Blogger could suffer a similar fate if they drive their content creators away.  

I've been interested since early childhood.  We played games that inevitably involved spankings.  I identified with the spankee role even then.  As time went on, spankings became increasingly a part of my life.  Once I met my husband, I was locked in for good.

OK, I know having read your profile that your husband administers your spankings but is there a fantasy spanker for Bonnie?

Oh, yes, there are many.  Sean Connery has always been a favorite.  I love his eyes, and, oh, that voice.

(Laughs) How much time do we have?  I've posted about many of my influences - Lucy and Ricky, Gidget, Flintstones, McLintock, Tom and Jerry, and dozens more.  These are all favorites that I replayed in my mind for years.

I also used to look for spankings on the comics page of the newspaper.  Not every strip had them and they were fairly rare, but that didn't stop me from searching each day's edition.

My husband got me hooked on lurking at the ASS/SSS Usenet news group back in the nineties.  This was my Aha! moment when I realized that the world was full of people who like what we do.  It was very reassuring to learn that we were not weird after all.
