mmm .... so I am intrigued by the question posed by MarQe regarding a possible spanking scene in Kiera Knightly's new film. So here is my essay for "submission"
Spanking is making a return to mainstream TV for three reasons:
First - it hasn't been in the public consciousness for many years because the prudes have kept it out and anything that hasn't been thought of for a while appears fresh and exciting
Second - everything is cyclical - including fetish and it's exposure to the public. Like flares it goes in and out of fashion
Third - people actually like a bit of mild discipline - they just forget that they do. Plus once it has become mainstream again attempts will be made to keep it new and fresh by making it more extreme until it is banned again - and we go back to the situation in points one and two.
There - that's my two cents worth
